It's time for open enrollment (sometimes called annual enrollment) at work, and I'm willing to wager you aren't fully utilizing your employee benefits. For example, many people take the free life insurance, or maybe double it, and pay for life insurance on their kids. That's not the most effective way to use your money. The vast majority of families should skip the life insurance on their kids and use that money to buy more life insurance on the income earner(s) in the family.
